Alien loses head, Terror kicked-out of NBA!
*February 12, 1999* It's been a busy week for the Alien Terror, so let's get right to it. Saturday, February 6: The Alien Terror opened the NBA season against New York at the Mundane City Boffo Bingo Hall. New York started the game by scoring the first 28 points against a very green alien team. Halfway through the second quarter, with New York leading 59-7, Terror player, Rong-Rung, drop-kicked New York player, Latrell Sprewell. After Sprewell got to his feet, he began choking Alien player, Uh-Oh, thinking he was the one who drop-kicked him. Unfortunately, Sprewell squeezed Uh-Oh's neck so tightly that his head popped off. The good news is that Uh-Oh should grow a new head in a few days. After his head landed in the seats, both benches cleared and the referees immediately suspended the game. "He not hurt any-one," said Uh-Oh's good friend, Zip-Zip. "They call us mon-sters? They mon-sters! We de-stroy them!" The league office has said it will look at the situation and make a decision about the future of the Alien Terror tomorrow. Sunday, February 7: A representative from the NBA's league office has announced that the Alien Terror basketball team will no longer be allowed to compete in the NBA. "These guys aren't bringing in the revenue, "said the rep. "They only had 32 people show-up for their home opener." Asked if the brawl with New York had anything to do with the leagues decision, the rep replied, "Nah. We've had worse scraps than that." Monday, February 8: Alien Terror leader, Fizz-El, released the following statement: "You stupid earthlings will be very sorry you kicked us out of the NBA. You leave us no choice but to bring in our invasion fleet to destroy your cities. This could have been a peaceful conquest with very little property damage. I hope you're happy!" Tuesday, February 9: The aliens leave in their spaceship promising to bring back their invasion fleet. Wednesday, February 10: The aliens return without an invasion fleet. "Uhhh... It seems our invasion fleet has left the solar system," said a visibly shaken Fizz-El. "Besides, we weren't really planning to conquer your planet. We were just having a little fun with our newfound earth buddies! You earthlings have a sense of humor, don't you?" Thursday, February 11: US military forces descended upon Mundane City looking for the Alien Terror basketball team. Their search proved to be fruitless. "It appears that those nasty aliens have fled Mundane City," said General U.R. Ashes. "If anybody should spot them, they should steer clear and contact the appropriate authorities. They are considered armed and dangerous." Friday, February 12: There have been numerous sightings of the aliens today, but so far authorities have been unable to apprehend any of them.
